A leadership training program for 3000 school children in Vavuniya, Jaffna, Mannar and the Mullaitivu has been launched.
The inaugural ceremony was held in Vavuniya under the patronage of Minister of Nation Building and Public Utilities, S.M Candrasena.
The aim is to promote leadership abilities of students affected by L.T.T.E. terrorism.
The theme and concept of this project is titled”Nana Guna Vaduma" (enhancing knowledge and quality).
The government has expressed keenness to psychologically boost the morale of students in the war torn areas in the newly gained freedom.
A number of similar projects have been designed to benefit the youth in those areas.
