Foreign Secretary, Dr. Kohona presents the donation to the Myanmar Ambassador

Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar H.E. Tin Oo Lwin met Foreign Secretary Dr. Palitha Kohona at the Ministry, this afternoon (07^th) Foreign Secretary on behalf of the Government and people of Sri Lanka expressed deepest condolence to the victims who lost their lives by the cyclone that hit Myanmar on Saturday (03^rd). 

Ambassador Lwin briefed the Secretary on the massive devastation caused by the cyclone in which over 22,000 lives have been lost while over 60,000 have been reported missing.

Secretary, Dr. Kohona presented a cheque to Ambassador Lwin amounting US $ 25,000 being the donation from the Government of Sri Lanka towards those affected by the cyclone.
