A special exposition of the sacred Tooth Relic has been opened at the Historic Dalada Maligawa today (06), and President Mahinda Rajapaksa worshipped the sacred Tooth Relic, inaugurating the rare religious ritual taken place after a six-year lapse from the last exposition.
The sacred event has been blessed by Mahanayakas from both Malwathu and Asgiria religious chapters, and the exposition will be open to the public till 16 March. Special arrangements have been made to hold the exposition from 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm on each day.
In a most benevolent situation in the country, when everything is settling towards permanent peace through a united country, the exposition blesses the country and its heroes to march forward with courage, equanimity and blessing from all. The sacred event was organized with the patronage of both Mahanayaka theros from Asgiriya and Malwattha chapters.
First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayaka, and many other dignitaries participated in the inaugural ceremony.Courtesy: News.lk
