Consideration of the 8th Periodic Review of Sri Lanka to the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) took place at the 66th Session of the Committee against Women, held at the Palais Wilson in Geneva, on 22 February 2017. Mrs. Chandrani Senaratna , Secretary Ministry of Women and Child Affairs of Sri Lanka led the delegation.

 

 

The delegation to the review included Ambassador H.E. Ravinatha Aryasinha, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in Geneva, H.E. Ms. Manisha Gunasekara, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea, Ms. Ayesha Jinasena, Senior Deputy Solicitor General, Attorney General’s Department, Ms. J.A Bimshani, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sri Lanka, Mrs. Samantha Jayasuriya, Deputy Permanent Representative Sri Lanka,  Ms. Shashika Somaratne, Counsellor, Ms. M.L.F. Mafusa, First Secretary, Ms. Dilini Gunasekera, Second Secretary , Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka and Ms. Rajmi Manatunga, Assistant Director/UN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
