Two more international awards for Sri Lankan film Siri Raja Siri PDF Print E-mail

(Colombo, Lankapuvath) – The film Siri Raja Siri (King Siri) directed by Somaratne Dissanayake won two more international awards at the Rimouski International Film Festival, Canada which concluded on October 6.  

The film was awarded the Camerio Humanitas (Award for best film for humanity by the main international jury) and CIFEJ Award (Award for the best film, for children presented by the international children film society).

With these two awards, Siri Raja siri has won five international awards. It won three awards from Mexico, Kenya and Argentina during the last two months.

Siri Raja Siri was also nominated as the best children film in the Asia Pacific Screen Award ceremony in Gold Coast, Australia on November 11. Siri Raja Siri will also be screened in Finland, Netherlands, Iran and Italy film festivals within the next two months.
