 STRENGTHENING TIES further between Sri Lanka & Japan, Sri Lanka – Japan Friendship Association made another worthy donation of a new ambulance, equipped with modern clinical and surgical facilities to the Sri Lanka Army Tuesday (1).

The ambulance worth over Rs. 15 million was handed over to Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka by Dr. Lal Thilakaratne, President, Sri Lanka – Japan Friendship Association during a brief function held at Army Headquarters.A specially-designed hospital bed was also donated to the Army hospital on the same occasion. District 306 C/ 1 Colombo Fort Lions Club sponsored importation of this bed.

Senior members of Sri Lanka – Japan Friendship Association and Colombo Fort Lions Club were present on the occasion.
