|George Keyt's paintings restored|

The ceremonial opening of the restored George Keyt paintings at the Gothami Viharaya at Borella was held recently in the presence of several philantrophists and businessmen who helped raise funds for this purpose.
Chairman of the Restoration Committee Prof Lakshman R. Watawala said the BOI (when he was chairman) and John Keells (JKH), Saman Villas and Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) with their respective chairmen - Mr Susantha Ratnayake (JKH), Mr Daya Ratnayake, Director Saman Villas Hotel Group and Mr Jayampathy Bandaranayake (CTC) helped in raising funds.
The Tourism Ministry agreed to print a book to be distributed to students and tourists and also erect hoardings in the city and do other promotion work.
