| Sri Lanka: New diplomats appointed to US, Cuba and Singapore |

Mr.Jaliya Wickramasuriya, who earlier served as Sri Lanka's Counsel General in Los Angeles is to take oaths as the Sri Lanka's Ambassador to United States by the 1st of July, according to Foreign Ministry sources.
A successful businessmen he was earlier the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ceylon Royal Tea and Supplies LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. Meanwhile the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Tamara Kunanayakm, who is at presently the Charge de Affairs in the Sri Lanka Embassy in Brazil as the Ambassador for Cuba. Meanwhile Ranjani Samarakoon has been appointed as the High Commissioner for Singapore. (Courtesy : Department of Information ) »
