COLOMBO: The funeral of Violet Wickremasinghe, mother of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, will be held tomorrow at the General Cemetery, Kanatte. She passed away at a private hospital in Colombo on Sunday.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa paid his last respects to his mother-in-law yesterday.

First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, brother of First Lady Mr. Wickremasinghe, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga were also present.
