According to these sources, the Jaffna Teaching hospital will be upgraded at a cost of 110 million rupees. The construction work of the new Administrative building and the Out Patient Department of the Chavakachcheri Base Hospital has now reached 80 % completion. Renovation work will cost. 31.2 million rupees withan additional 9 million rupees for the water supplying project and another Rs.10 million for the construction of a new medical store for the hospital.
