President pledges to protect nation freed by brave Armed Forces

President Mahinda Rajapaksa today pledged to protect and safeguard the nation freed by gallant troops and stressed that he would not allow anyone to disturb the freed country again."I will uphold and execute all what is contained in the 'Mahinda Chintana' with sacrifice', the President asserted.

The President made these observations addressing the newly appointed SLFP Organisers and District Organisers at Temple Trees this afternoon.

Twelve new organisers and 11 new district organisers were given letters of appointment by the President.

Continuing the President recalled that the SLFP always arrived at decisions considering the nation and the people and would not take decisions for the benefit of staying in power.

He pointed out that he would take decisions regarding the nation at the appropriate time and would do so fearlessly.

While recalling the mode how terrorism was crushed as one team,the President urged all to join as a team to win the challenge of development.

Ministers Maithripala Sirisena, Susil Premjayantha and SLFP seniors were present on this occassion.
