UNIDO assists farmers in Trincomalee district PDF Print E-mail

 United Nation Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Trincomalee Project implemented by Chamber of commerce and Industry Trincomalee handed over 5.5 million worth farm equipment to Trincomalee farmers to increase thier income through reduction of cost of production and sustainability of livelihood for war and Tsunami affected community.

These equipments were handed over to the selected farmer society in a ceremony held on 2nd of June at Welcombay hotel Trincomalee. These equipments were handed over by Chief Guest Higuchi Susumu, second secretary, Embassy of Japan, and Guest of honour T. Navaratnaraja, Minister of Agriculture, livestock and development, fisheries and industrial development.

All Equipment were gifted by Government of Japan
