MANNAR: ARMY TROOPS forging ahead in the northerly direction in the areas surrounding ADAMPAN town area entered another decisive phase in their mission this morning (9) when they entered the heart of the town, thus bringing the entire area now under the full control of the ground troops.
Loss of ADAMPAN town, defended by Tiger terrorists offering heavy resistance considers a detrimental blow to the failing LTTE organization as well as to its leaders, now desperately trying to survive on the diktats of their megalomaniac assassin Prabhakaran. It was on Thursday (8) the troops reached the perimeter surrounding the town centre after moving in from three different directions and threw a security net ringing the entire area. ![]() ![]() ![]()
