A proud President returns to his terror free motherland

President Mahinda Rajapaksa after a two day official visit to Jordon returned in an emotion packed jubilant mood to his motherland this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake.

As he kept his foot on the soil of his nation, filled with emotion and joy,President Rajapaksa touched the soil and worshipped his motherland in tribute in a heart rending manner that moved many a patriotic citizen of this country freed from the menace of terrorism after 30 long years.

Religious dignitaries from Buddhist,Christian,Hindu and Islamic faith bestowed blessings on the Head of State who had freed the nation from the menace of LTTE terrorism which cost nearly 100,000 lives of citizens in a 30 year cruel terrorist war.
