The government dispatched another large consignment of food and medicine for the use of innocent Tamil civilians who were forcibly held by the LTTE terrorists in government declared no fire zone.

The stock of 1200 MT was shipped under the directives given by the H.E. the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The government deployed two large ships to dispatch the essential items, sources said.

  

The stock included rice, flour, sugar, dhal, palm oil, milk food, and medicine sources added.

  

The civilians who have recently reached security forces seeking safety said LTTE terrorists are looting the food stocks sent by the government and only a few percent of the total quantity is distributed among the civilians in the no fire zone.
