A special programme is being mooted by the Presidential Secretariat to invoke blessings on the gallant soldiers who sustained injuries at the Muhamalai Forward Defence Line.

Accordingly, members of the Maha Sangha visited the hospital where they are receiving treatment and chanted Seth Pirith. The Sangha inquiring into the needs of the soldiers informed the hospital staff at the behest of the President, to fulfil all their requirements.

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa and many members of his group also visited the hospital to peruse into the welfare of the soldiers. The other members included Piyasiri Wijenayake, Achala Jagoda, Samansiri Herath, Jayantha Samaraweera and M. Muzammil.
