ITN and Lakhanda Radio will launch their latest fm radio service, meeting another desire of the Tamil-speaking people.

The new “Wasantham FM” radio service goes on the air at the auspicious time of 6.40 a.m. tomorrow.

The service will be transmitted to the Northern, Eastern and North Central Provinces on FM 97.7. Accordingly, civilians in areas such as Batticaloa, Kalmunai, Akaraipattu, Ampara, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Mannar, Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mullativu and Puttalam would be able receive this service. It is desired to provide unbiased and genuine reports, identifying the needs of the Tamil-speaking community while responding to their queries through “Wasantham FM”.

The new service will be the latest member of Lakhanda Radio and ITN. It will also enhance knowledge and enthrall them. The service will initially be limited to several areas. Thereafter it will have a wide coverage.
