VAVUNIYA: THE REMOVAL OF THE SACRED statue of “Our Lady of Madhu” has been vehemently condemned by the Catholic community in VAVUNIYA and MANNAR Tuesday (15) through a big poster campaign.

The posters pasted in public places by “Wanni Catholics Union” questioned the murderous LTTE leader what wrong had the pious Catholics done for being deprived them of “Our Lady of Madhu”, which go against Catholic historical interests. 

They further alleged that the Holy Church is under LTTE threat. 

In one poster, the organization requested all Catholics to unite against the LTTE to save the Holy Mother from the terrorist grip.
