Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka Listens to Ground Commanders PDF Print E-mail

 COMMANDER of the Army Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka, in order to review ongoing military operations in Wanni area took time off on Thursday (10) morning and visited the Security Forces Headquarters Wanni.

Lieutenant General Fonseka met Wanni Security Forces Commander Major General Jagath Jayasuriya and a representative gathering of senior ground commanders and discussed matters related to war machine in respective areas. Lieutenant General Fonseka made specific inquiries into the progress of the operations and other follow-up work in operational areas .

He also made inquiries into arrangements that have been made to relieve the troops for forthcoming New Year celebrations. Lieutenant General Fonseka gave further instructions to his senior officers before he left for Colombo.
