 “The results of the elections to the first Eastern Provincial Council show the people’s endorsement of the government’s policies of restoring democracy and normalcy to areas hitherto controlled by terrorists and the overall development programme already initiated in the Eastern Province”, said President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a statement following the successful conclusion of elections to the EPC.

RAK Airways launches first holiday promotion to Colombo PDF Print E-mail

 RAK Airways, the national airline of Ras Al Khaimah, has announced the launch of its first holiday promotion to the Sri Lankan capital Colombo, as part of an extensive joint marketing campaign between RAK Tourism and its Sri Lankan counterpart to promote their respective tourist destinations.  The announcement was made in the presence of Mr. Dilip Mudadeniya, Managing Director of Sri Lanka Tourism and other key dignitaries and industry officials during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2008, where RAK Tourism is participating at the Ras Al Khaimah Stand.

All words should be taken with a pinch of salt, I believe. The amount of salt employed depends on one thing: clarity in the statement of bias.
